Apple Cinnamon Streusel Pie
Delicious!- 7.5 ounces pie crust, (1 premade crust from package or your own recipe!)
- 2 pounds McIntosh apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Topping:
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 10 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into small pieces
1. Thaw crust if frozen in pan. If using refrigerated crust, soften and place in pie plate.
2. Spread apples in crust. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar. Dot with 3 tablespoons butter. Sprinkle with 1 tsp cinnamon.
3. For topping, mix flour, sugar, walnuts and cinnamon. Cut in butter until moist clumps. Sprinkle topping over filling.
4. Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour. Cover crust edges with foil if browning too much.
