Italian Pomodoro Penne
This recipe came from the label on the crushed tomato can!- 1 pound penne
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 ounces Wegmans Italian Classics Crushed Tomatoes with Italian Style Herbs
- 60 grams Wegmans pitted kalamata olives, or black olives, halved, approximately 1/2 cup or 20 olives
- 5 leaves basil, torn
1. Lightly toast pine nuts in skillet over medium-high heat; pour into large bowl.
2. Sauté garlic in olive oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients and simmer until heated through.
3. Add tomato sauce and cooked pasta to bowl and toss with pine nuts; serve.
